• Why did you decide to become a professional helicopter pilot?
My grandpa was a pilot in WWII and some of my best childhood memories include listening
to him talk about his great flying experiences. He definitely planted the seed for my love of
aviation. Once I got my first taste of flying myself, there was no turning back.
• What is your most memorable moment as a pilot?
Right after my private license was completed, I got to take my wife flying for her first time in
Ft. Lauderdale. We flew to the coast and over the beach. It was exciting for us both!
• If you were to choose any profession other than this what would it be and why?
???
• How do you spend most of your time when not flying?
When I’m not flying or studying I spend any free time I have with my family and friends. We
like to go hunting and fishing together and just hangout.
• If you could have any pilot job in the world what would it be and why?
The Army, for the training and the awesome missions and aircraft they get to fly.
• What are some other notable mentions about yourself?
I enlisted in the Navy when I was 19 and spent 4 years working in VFA 37. During that
time I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom aboard the USS Harry S. Truman. Having my VA
benefits assisted me in completing flight training here at Longhorn. I’m currently pursing
my Bachelors degree in Aviation Administration.
