  • Why did you decide to become a professional helicopter pilot?

I wanted to fly for as long as I can remember. I joined the Air Force wanting to fly jets and then one day sitting in one of my college classes surfing the net, I decided helicopters were the way to go. Ever sence that day, helicopters were all I could think about.

  •   What is your most memorable moment as a pilot?

My first solo- I remember Bruce looking over at me and saying. Well good luck, have fun, and got out. I thought to myself, now is not the time to screw anything up! I was a little nervous but excited.

  •   If you were to choose any profession other than this what would it be and why?

I really don't know. I really don't have much of a plan b.

  •   How do you spend most of your time when not flying?

Spending time with my wife Kayla and friends and thinking about flying.

  •   If you could have any pilot job in the world what would it be and why?

I could see myself doing some sort of utility work, offshore or tours early on, but I would really like to fly for some police department or Customs and Border Patrol if possible.

  •   What are some other notable moments in your life?

Graduating from Basic training, my deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, and getting married to Kayla!
