- Why did you decide to become a professional helicopter pilot?
I enlisted in the US Army to attend Warrant Officer Flight Training, after my first flight, it was clear to me that flying helicopters would be a major part of my like as long as I am able.
- What is your most memorable moment as a pilot?
Probably my first solo flight in a helicopter. Then maybe my first trip as an Airline Pilot.
- If you were to choose any profession other than this what would it be and why?
I cannot imagine doing anything else, after flying for a living. If you like to fly, nothing else is even close.
- How do you spend most of your time when not flying?
Usually hanging around the hangar, working on the aircraft, then fishing when possible.
- If you could have any pilot job in the world what would it be and why?
I am fortunate to able to do exactly what I have always dreamed of being able to do. Flying helicopters, and jets is as good as it gets in aviation.
- What are some other notable moments in your life?
Our wedding day 28 years ago, and the birth of our daughters are certainly the top, but Val and I have had a great life, punctuated with both good and bad times. By far, mostly good.
