- Why did you decide to become a professional helicopter pilot?
“The helicopter approaches closer than any other [vehicle] to fulfillment of mankind's ancient dreams of the flying horse and the magic carpet.”, Igor Sikorsky
- What is your most memorable moment as a pilot?
While taking my then girlfriend on a helicopter tour, I landed claiming maintenance trouble to ask Heather if she would be my wife. (a little cheesy but true)
- If you were to choose any profession other than this what would it be and why?
Before I started flying I always thought it would be fun to be a surgeon, It’s a pretty amazing thing to take a broken body and fix it, kind of like taking a broken aircraft and getting it back in flying shape.
- How do you spend most of your time when not flying?
Enjoying time with my family and thinking about flying.
- If you could have any pilot job in the world what would it be and why?
Flying the "Big Iron" for PHI would be great!

The day my son's was born.
