  • Why did you decide to become a professional helicopter pilot?

The variety of experiences offered as a helicopter pilot is amazing. I would also like to refer to a quote that explains a lot. “"When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return." Leonardo Da Vinci

  •   What is your most memorable moment as a pilot?

My most memorable moment as a pilot is without a doubt the flight I shared with Robert E. LaSalle on 7-16-2011. God Bless Robert and his family.

  •   If you were to choose any profession other than this what would it be and why?

Either the Coast Guard or airport management.

  •   How do you spend most of your time when not flying?

Studying about flying or spending time with friends and family.

  •   If you could have any pilot job in the world what would it be and why?

Id love to be flying/living anywhere near the great outdoors. I believe having a mountain or a beach in your backyard greatly improves whatever kind of flying your doing. I got into helicopters for the overall unique life-experiance only a helicopter can provide; That includes the opportunity to appreciate some of the most impressive environments and lifestyles.

  •   What are some other notable moments in your life?

Being elected as one of four Captains of my highschool football team, Beating Southlake Carroll 16-15 to win the 2003 Texas 5A State Championship in football, first solo, the time I spent living by the beach in Corpus Christi, and the birth of my first niece Keegan Grace Gotte.
